Pune Roads Set for Major Resurfacing Revamp

Pune’s Road Repair Drive Gets Underway

The Pune Municipal Corporation has started a major road repair project after receiving numerous complaints about poor road conditions. The civic body plans to resurface 15 main roads within a week using a new thin-layer asphalting method.

The project includes fixing manhole covers and road painting to help reduce accidents. Union minister Muralidhar Mohol will inspect the work on January 30, while Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale oversees the project.

A public feedback system has been set up for residents to report issues and track repairs. The PMC aims to maintain regular upkeep to prevent future road damage and keep the improvements lasting.

The initiative addresses both safety concerns and environmental issues caused by bad roads. This teamwork between officials and residents marks an important step in improving Pune’s roads for daily commuters.
